    Double tap is the android way. Never liked doing it on my wife's phone I always felt like I was knocking on a door like hello lol. Since no swipe gesture the only other BlackBerry way would be lift to wake

    Ya but u wouldn't swipe because the phone would already be awake because u have it set to lift to wake..... I stop myself before I swipe because the phone beats me to it and wakes on its own. I always want to swipe like u say

    The Bell store near my house has a demo that wakes up when I swipe it. I don't know how it does it, all the other demos I've tried only wake up to tap.

    That requires part of the RAM to be always on so that it detects your swipe up on BB10 devices at any given time. I suppose if there's the double tap feature, then BlackBerry could implement the swipe up gesture.
