The screen is rumored to be just over 5 inches, right?

Do we know anything about the size of the total device?
Should we expect it to be the same screen as the s6 edge, or is the screen a little bigger?

The magic trick is to wait and see, because whatever people say, no one knows for sure until BlackBerry tells you the dimensions. Word is 5,5' screen, but nothing's for sure.

I'm hoping for 10mm+, the thicker the phone the better the battery life. I hope this has the same fast wireless/qi charging like the samsung galaxy s6 edge+ and note 5 have, and please have NFC on board... don't pull a oneplus two move...

Thin: people complain about battery life and say thickness doesn't matter.

The slider with z10 screen size will be better imo, 5.5" screen size make the phone too tall when slide it up.

Based on a photo of a Venice look-alike device ( http://world.taobao.com/item/521665411172.htm ) faked in China . . . it appears that the width of the device is about 5 times the width of the retractable tray for micro SD card. (The width of a micro SD card is 11 mm.) (The photo quoted below is distorted.)

    If such tray is 15 mm wide . . . 15 mm x 5 = 75 mm . . . it seems that Venice is wider than Leap (72.8 mm) and Z30 (72 mm).

(Note: Such tray is 18 mm wide on BlackBerry Classic.)

The most often quoted size for the Venice slider screen is 5.4 inches. Based on a comparison with the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge which has a similar dual curved 5.1 inch screen, I've put together a visual size comparison using dimensions and images from the Phone Arena.

That puts the slider at about the same width as the Leap (73 mm) and in between the height of the Leap (144 mm) and the iPhone 6 Plus (158 mm) at about 153 mm. The Z30 is slightly smaller than the Leap at about 72 mm wide by 141 mm high.

Awesome, that would be a good size. Now we just have to see how thick it is. But who am I kidding, I'm buying it either way.

It suffers from having 16:9 screen form factor, which renders the physical keyboard useless. With high production cost, it can't be a good seller.

1:1 are good, but I think for small screen (smartphones etc) a little bit taller form like 5:6, 4:5 or 3:4 would be better.

That's because beside the square active area, apps and the operating system need some area for the status bar, keybar, tool bar, menu bar and title bar.

The screen size is comparable to that of the iphone 6 plus, right? I hope it's not that big...but even if it is I'll still probably get it. I wrote BAKA Mobile and unfortunately they didn't measure it. Size?-blackberry.jpg

You forgot about bending and fragility in the Thin case.

With a 5.4" screen, I think it will be close to 6" tall.

The Z30 is 5.5", and the iPhone 6+ is 6.2" tall.

Unlike the z30 it will have no bezels on the side making it less wide. If it is as wide as the z30 it might just be as tall as the z30. If it had bezels it would definitely have to be taller.

No. Screen width is 67 mm, compared to 81 mm in the Passport.

Any updated specs on the size? I've just been assuming it's going to be roughly the size of my wife's iPhone 6 Plus. My Bold 9930 just got too finnicky to use a few months ago. I got an LG Mach because of the slider keyboard...but it's old and horribly under-powered and slow. I'm thinking at this point I may get a Q10, but likely will get the Priv.
