Passport had nice launch price and the discounts during holiday really helped. Anything more than 500$ is death.

Fair enough, but the tech and materials for this device might further outweigh the passport. If it is 599, i can still see it being successful with a 100 discount for pre-order or early birds.

Almost zero chance this will happen. Be lucky if its ~600. New form factor, new screen, new internals. Passport development has been bouncing around Waterloo for years. Slider may be the first phone under the Chen banner.

Wasn't the Passport like $699 at launch? Slider will be $749 or $799.

I think the Passport was $599 so maybe minimum $599 for the Slider at the very least.

Absolutely it will be more expensive than Passport as it have advanced dual curved display...

There is no purpose for curved displays other than to damage the screen more easily.

I cannot see this Slider costing more than the Passport when it was launched. $599 would seem as a reasonable price for such a device, rumoured to be a well spec'ed device.

Have you seen the rumoured Samsung Galaxy S6 demand? Early reports indicate demand for this new Dual Curved Edged phone. If only BlackBerry can get a similar reaction for its upcoming Slider. This is what proper Marketing and Advertising does along with strong Carrier support. Build demand for the product before launch. There's obviously a demand for expensive high end smart phones.

I'm going to say it's going to be 599.99 and maybe a early buyers discount of 100$ 700 is too high, the 100-200 is a nice incentive for people debating on a BlackBerry or iphone
