Doubt you'll be getting a new BB10 phone any time soon.

A mere patch update 10.3.3 will take like 6 months, it's obviously that BB10 is on hold until they see the performance of the slider.

I agree. BlackBerry 10 phones aside from the Passport are all low to mid range phones. I doubt you will see anything higher end.

I intend to get the Priv ASAP. With all of the apps and the BlackBerry security I don't feel unsecure using Android.

I've thought for a while to try android. But I liked the BlackBerry devices and bb10. But now that the Priv is coming. I'm getting it. But I just love my ability to swipe and peek

I don't feel unsecured on any up to date Android device. But I don't have privacy on Android. And for a simple consumer like me without BES the Priv offers no extra privacy compared to any other Android device.
