Any news for the security patch of March?
It gets here when it does I imagine.
The news is - it ain't here yet.

Aren't the Android updates from BlackBerry supposed to arrive on the 1st of each month?
They arrive on the date Google posts it. Usually it happens within the first week of the month.
Which might be tomorrow.
Maybe will get a surprise and BB will release nougat. And then we will all wake up.
Actually on a more serious note, pixel is getting the Match security update today.
BB your falling behind.
Sorry for question, perhaps it looks like stupid but what gives you security patch?
I have priv. I use call and sms function.
I write mails I use some financial apps, use tasks and calendar. Very occasional viber and fb messenger. Should I worry about security patch?
You don't need to worry about it, as your monthy OS update contains the security patches.
Actually was just posted.

Ok that means we'll soon get the patch. Especially you guys on STV1.. you're on the no 1 priority when it comes to the monthly patches..
Checked my PRIV just now... nothing... c'mon BlackBerry! Can't be falling behind now...
It's been 3 hours. Holy smokes.
HA HA!
Unless you're in the beta program.
Whats the big deal? Is there some earth shattering security flaw I'm not aware of? If it's not rolling out by next Monday, I may begin to wonder if BB is starting to slack, but it's kinda early here.
This is the latest in the month that I can remember one being released... no?
3rd to the 7th is typical.
Precisely.
People chomping at the bit here.
The big deal here is I'm not a BlackBerry apologist, I hold them accountable to their advertised features. If they said they are up to date with updates, then they should be.
The new device e.g. the KeyOne, will get it first if BlackBerry follow their usual route.
In this case I don't think it is a question of marketing. This has more to do with resource allocation. The Blackberry Android developers are all in on trying to get the Aurora and the KEYone software out. They can worry about nougat on existing devices after.
