    So my phones battery died while backpacking (no surprise as I have bad battery drain). The weird part is all of my ringtones and alarm tones disappeared while it was off. All of them are gone. What could have caused this?

    Where were they installed. Folks have reported that if the ringtones were not stored in INTERNAL MEMORY (I forget the folder at the moment) they would be disassociated from contacts or apps.

    But did some portions of Internal Memory get erased due to the full loss of power? Anything other than the tones gone?

    just the tones are gone weirdly enough. I have a serious battery drain on my phone so the battery only lasted 3 days of a week in the bush on airplane mode. So when I got out of the bush they were gone.

    So I gave up and tried an Alarms folder on my sd card and it worked. no idea why the phone is being so stupid.
