I did a search for this, but I didn't find anything.
When I'm on a voice call if I pull the priv away from my face or use speaker phone, just to the left and slightly above the blackberry logo on the front of the phone, I see a faint (yet oddly bright) flickering red laser light.
I guess the closest thing I can compare it to would be the lasers on a check out line at the grocery store.

And it only appears while in a voice call..

Anyone got anything?

Proximity sensor.

Used to determine whether you've got the phone up to your ear.

damule6666....I want ur phone with the laser...the drugs u doing + those two beers that r on ur profile picture...u r my king dude!!!! Hahahahha. Proximity sensor...but it could be used for very fine shaving...eventually burning people into crispy toasts...hshahhahaha!!!
