Either is fine. Just not "always".

(When plugged in who cares if consumption is higher -- it's plugged in)

BTW I'm not "suggesting" it, I ran this down in detail a little while back and posted a long thread on it. The issue is that the WiFi interface will hold a wakelock on the device if set to "Always", which prohibits the CPU from dropping into the deep sleep states.

That will multiply idle power consumption by a monstrous factor -- as in taking it from ~25ma -> ~100ma+.
How will that affect the ability for the phone to pull in emails etc... while in sleep mode? Or will it? Not sure I understand the sleep state and when it's invoked.

Got it too (unlocked - France - SFR)

Btw Op, fixed 'roday' in the title

Edit : seems there's a significant batch of treatments, update is running for more that 14 minutes already.
"Optimizing application 57 over 83 ..." right now. Not sure what "application" (is that my apps or sys ?) are updated, but looks quite a serious one.

re-Edit : device hot, seems sluggish right now. Expected, will report if it lasts. On no news = back to normal or better !

I am seeing this as a 473MB update... I think this could be more than security updates for me!

One thing I've noticed, the annoying bluetooth notification sound when connecting and disconnecting to my cars bluetooth stopped! I'll test again in the morning but when I got in my car to go home there was no ding ding ding when I got in or out!! Seems strange if it was only a security update!

There was no previous update released for my Priv, which was made for "Malaysia Region" - so this is an exciting moment to see if it is a new version or not!

This is a security update not a general OS update. So, I don't expect it to be fixed yet. But I'd be pleasantly surprised if it is fixed.
NOTE TO THOSE WHO GET THIS TODAY:

Check your "advanced" WiFi settings when it's complete. If you are set to "keep WiFi on when sleeping" turn it off or you are very likely to have a permanent wakelock -- which will kill your battery life!
I've been on this update since mid Dec, no battery issues
Thought I'd check my 'advanced' WiFi settings as I don't remember ever changing them - Where are they?

    Settings->WiFi->Overflow menu (three dots)-> Advanced

    "Keep WiFi on during sleep"

"Always" is trouble. It wasn't before AAD250, but it is now.
