I can give you my experience. Mine works but only with like YouTube it won't work with the music players. To be more descriptive it works intermittently. Sometimes it'll just stop playing and give me a heads up notification that my headphones are plugged in but won't continue playing music and it just keeps doing this over and over and over again

Ya I was able to get it to work for a few seconds and then it stopped. When I pull the headphones out it says headphones disconnected but when they are plugged in it plays music off the front speaker .

Unfortunately I feel it's the software. It plays quite well when using YouTube or a webpage video or even Facebook audio. Still, I feel your pain. Gone are the days of phones working well straight out of the box.

Hello, exactly the same issue.
I have STV100-1 with AAD027 (updated few days ago).
Connected headphones are recognized but no sounds go into it.
As I hear ticks in 'em on connection, seems to be a software bug (or a mic connector issue).

What firmware and model do you have?

Perhaps only for balance, I thought I would mention my Priv works with my iPhone, LG G4, Audio Technica ATH M50 and Jaybird bluebird X headphones, no issue with high volume either. It would seem to be a hardware issue I would think, so a return replacement.

I recently had issues with sound - the phone would not stop playing on speakers despite the headphones connected. It was playing on BOTH the speakers and headphone.

What reset things for me was to play music from Google Player with speaker, then insert the headphone. Just seemed to reset something and now everything works.

Huzzah!! This worked. I switched to my Rocket Player app and it still works. Great tip. Rescued my commute.
