I remember reading this article relating to handsets running BB10 and how the hardware has strong security built-in
BlackBerry highlights how security is embedded in their hardware | CrackBerry.com

I've also seen a few youtube videos showing boot times of the Priv against similar android handsets, with the Priv losing in most instances.

Being not too technical from a hardware development point, just wondering if anyone knows if similar hardware security checks are built into the Android handsets, considering they do take a while to boot up?

Some of it is based on the Qualcomm chip security built into every Qualcomm powered device, so yes?
