I think they should, but what about you all? If BlackBerry offered beta builds of the OS would all participate or do you prefer running 'stable' builds knowing there's no real issues with them? Personally, I'd participate, especially now that Google has built a nice way to test beta builds OTA.

    Sign me up.

I'd love to have that kind of direct feedback pathway that comes with being in the beta program.

I'm willing to Guinea pig this Priv, yeah. All bugs are shallow given enough eyes and whatnot.

An open beta would avoid the pitfalls of their BB10 beta program.

I think it would be a great option, especially for Marshmallow. Heh heh. Then those that are eager to try it can take a leap of faith.

Everyone agreeing to a NDA then a few thousand openly screenshotting, video-ing and discussing the beta release, noticeably.

    It would be great...

...if all of you would test those betas and me getting a more mature final release

So yeah please BB offer public betas, but also please CB make a sub-forum then for those, so not mixing up beta with official-release discussions

Too many rings. You don't want to confuse the handful of overworked people on this over at BlackBerry do ya? Lulz

Several Android OEMs have beta test programs. Sony: Concept for Android, Moto Soak Test, Samsung Galaxy Beta and of course Googles own for Nexus. BB should definitely join probably start out with the Moto model and just test builds that are production ready and then down the line go into more experimental builds once they iron out all the program kinks.

I think I would be the exception and stick to release builds. I think testing release builds is just as important, and my phone is such a vital part to my life now that I can't really risk something being broken.
