Hi,

Would anyone know if the android auto app works together with a new 2016 GMC 2500HD and brsnd new updated BlackBerry Priv?

My sons iPhone works but it will not recognize the BlackBerry handset... I"ve installed AA and tried numerous cables as sugested. Not sure if this is a dealer or BlackBerry issue.

Any help would be appreciated.

Doesn't work in my 2016 Golf R - read some threads apparently its on the manufacturers side.

All you can do is hope they release a system update, till then - it is what it is.

Unfortunate how everything has some sort of Apple integration into it, even switching to android has its hiccups for Blackberry - and a lot of these vehicles run QNX.

I have a Golf R as well and no luck. Recently rented a Chevy Cruze. Android Auto worked perfectly. Kind of annoying that we still don't have a firmware update on these cars (VW) one year on.

Doesn't work with my 2016 GTI either. I think if we could get the USB to stick with MTP it would go. Instead every time I plug it into the car and try to pair it up the USB reinitializes back at the default "charging".

Suggest to ask you car dealership if there is a SW update for you car.
I have the PRIV and it is working much better with my Honda Civic after the dealership updated the SW in the car.
