Lol, yes, now I look at it there is a textural contrast ..... though at the time I just thought what background can I place this on so it won't fall off, and won't intrude on the flower colours, lol

Also, i'd just finished my pre breakfast walk, and the household and animals were waiting on me to get the breakfast, lol, so I did it without much thought.

I don't know if you've ever felt a frangipani, but they are velvety and quite lovely to touch. Though be very wary of putting one in your hair, like the polynesians do, cos the milk sap comes out and is very sticky ... (yes, I know from experience, lol!)
Veery nice! Sometimes those spontaneous shots are the best.

Since the theme is food at the moment, this was lunch on Saturday afternoon. The brat, brezel, Thai chili chicken soup, bread, even the various dipping sauces and condiments, are all made in-house. Brewery downstairs, several IPA's... (not pictured). Yum! Beardslee Public House, Bothell, WA

Surf's up - a view from friends' house. And the same yet again but some new snow on the Olympics. I, too, can't wait till I can actually do something a bit more interesting.

These ice sculptures are curious. I am trying to figure out how they were constructed. Was the ice around them thick enough to walk on so that someone could get some pieces to stand upright? In the picture the ice looks as though it has melted here and there, which could have happened after it was constructed.

Sorry, i can't explain this. This is a normal small Lake and i took the Photos after the days the surface was completely frozen. Melting days...never saw anything like this before and don't know what happened.
But i think they were not constructed ...think it happened naturally

Welcome to this thread. Often mine haven't all posted when I try to post more than one photo in one post. I think some others here have figured out a solution for that. (anyone?) I also sometimes get them sideways or upside down when I post directly from my Priv without making some kind of edit in the original. After they are saved to my PC I have no problem. I sometimes do a minor crop to the original and then they upload in the right position.

I always take the pics through the camera app, never through the CB app or Tapatalk. Sometimes I'll edit, sometimes not. Then I post through Tapatalk. Haven't had any problems posting.

Nice picture. This reminds me of the style of the concert hall in Reykjavik, Iceland, where I visited recently. I posted at least one picture of it a few pages back. I was there just before new years.

All I can think of is how much glare and heat would be generated by all that glass, lol. Particularly in Sydney this summer, where there have been too many days over 37C .....

We really don't need more light when our day length is over 12 hours for 3 months or so, and winter, (mainly sunny), lasts for around 8 to 10 weeks (only!).

Iceland is a different story. In the winter, at any rate, the daylight lasts only a few short hours and it is very cold. In the summer there are many hours of daylight but I don't think their summers are that hot. This was early afternoon through our hotel lobby window in Iceland.
