Here's the overflow going out of one pipe only, and the power of that release is enormous! I could feel some of the spray breeze from the top of the dam wall.

Gee the priv handled those water shots well. I realise that the photo is quite a distance from the spray, but it's quite clear.

I haven't touched up any of the pics, the priv is a good quality camera, in my opinion.

@john_v What type of snake? I am not so sure I would have gotten so close. usually they slither away. But there are other reasons not to get close depending on what type they are.

Just your basic garden-variety garter snake. Harmful only if you're a mouse, frog, etc...

And this is looking down the river about 50 meters away from the first picture, taken from the dock at Keizer Rapids Park.
I have posted a few before from the dock. It is never the same twice.
