Just checked some of the core BlackBerry applications on the Google Play Store.
It is interesting to see how the downloads moved from above 5 thousands two days ago to above 10 thousands today.

It can give a rough estimation of the Priv out there.. Some food for thoughts..
Next milestone should be 50K.. Let's see if the Priv downloads can hit that and how quickly

if 10,000 is the number of phones sold im not impressed its been 2 weeks already roughly since the launch and there just arent enough to go around

We do not know that.. It is not accurate at all. The number is anywhere above 10,000 right now.

It can be either 49,999 or 10,001.
What is interesting is that in 2 days the number moved from 5K to 10k (at least)
That is an "objective" delta.

Don't worry...the joy of imminent failure for the pessimists is fast becoming the dread of impending success.

that is still a good indicator given the shortage of produced units and the minimal advertising done so far...not talking about the non-existent launch event. however, i still think that many more will be sold over the holiday season all through Valentine's day which will be an occasion for giving someone the Priv as a gift. More to come.
