That's what happens when third-party retailers and 'deals' sites drop it to a reasonable price.

Hey , we want BlackBerry to make a high margin. We want BlackBerry profitable. Nobody complains when a Bentley or roles royce is more expensive than a Hyundai, Toyota, etc.

Was surprised to see 3 in one day recently in Toronto. Might have been just a coincidence because I haven't seen another one since... except for the one I bought my wife :P

Went to a wedding yesterday. Had several millenials say " what phone is that?"
    ( I'm getting a bit older. Ha)
Several comments about " BlackBerry still making phones?) But ALL thought it was a really cool phone !! Thought the PKB / slider was cool also. (Several never saw a slider phone before... now I really feel old)

I haven't seen another one but quite a few people have asked me about mine. They seemed pretty impressed with it, then I showed them the PKB and how it works for scrolling. That got a LOT of cool comments.

Just imagine if they had of priced it reasonably from the get go. Why in the world would they ever think people were going to be willing to pay $899 USD for it.

Was just at a Splunk Live! conference here in the DC area, I had a bigger crow around me when I had the device out typing than some of the booths there.....

I myself have never seen another working production model other than a dummy device in a VZW store.

It wasn't ever $899 US from ShopBlackBerry. I ordered it day of launch (Nov 6, 2015) for $699 US. There were a few resellers on Amazon that scooped up some and sold them for more than that. They were trying to make some quick $$.

The last 2 months I have seen 3 not including mine.
Pulled my Priv out a couple of weeks ago from rotation from Dtek60 ,just cuz. Missed slide and got a small scratch or maybe crack on side of screen of Dtek60. Use naked phones and the Priv 's screen is the best screen for durability. Bought it at launch and it has NO Scratches or Cracks just wear on the corner edges of phone.

The only other one in Louisville besides my own is now gone. It was owned by a young Cemetery manager. He loved it. Problem is he dropped it in a grave where it hit the Vault and broke the screen. His tag line when he told me about it was, "You could say it died."

Unfortunately there was no Priv available to replace it so he switched to an S7. So now it's just me. I do keep looking to find another Priv. So far no luck.

    Hello Conite,

Yes, there is some of us that paid full price at launch, but not regretful.

With the Seidio Case and a tempered glass protector my looks like it came out of the box.

I carry two phones the Classic and Priv.
