No I don't have Exchange Server.

Been trying everything else with Outlook though. Have hundreds of Notes. I've kept a diary which I would like to keep. Actually it's imperative it's backed up.

Asked Clewley and hoping he can escalate this.

Yep me too I have Hotmail and Gmail in my hub but can't back up my notes ever if I do a wipe I always have to copy them into a email and email it to myself which is long. They need a way to back it up via Google or email or something.

I accidentally discovered that early on and so when I lost my Notes, the same ones were still on my Z30 and so I transferred them again. But it is stupid, actually reckless that they canNOT be backed up. It may be time to discard Notes and find some third party app that can be backed up somehow. I think it also killed my Calendar entries but those came back when I reestablished my Google account.

Use Keep if you want Google sync. Or better yet, use Evernote.

I ended up manually sharing each note with evernote. Not pleased, but no, no form of backup. =(

Google's Keep like all things google wants too much. I don't know as much about Evernote! Oh, I see they want just as much access. Really, why contacts and calendar. I just want NOTES I can store and backup.

Evernote allows sharing and collaborating with your contacts, including calendar events. Hard to do without those permissions. Disallow those permissions if you don't want these features.

Found one called Note Everything. Seems to require fewer Permissions. Also can backup to Internal Memory as plain text files. I gather it can also Import them back. There's a Pro version which does more but also needs more Permissions.

    SoftXperience is the developer.

Googles keep does the job well but yeah not sure about the permissions syncs well though, don't have anything secretive so should be fine.
