    If I remember correctly there was no case made for the BlackBerry Torch because of it slider design. I take it the same thing will happen with the Priv. After dropping my Passport without a case and cracking the screen I would be worried to buy a Priv with that highly exposed screen.

    The torch had a full case protector the sliding screen had a thin plastic bezel that snapped into place if I remember correctly otterbox was the manufacturer

    Brandon Orr of BerryFlow said he saw Priv with a flipcase that had an opening for the lockscreen like the cases for the Galaxy series. If it works the same way you'll be able to see your notifications and alarms thru it.

    Some clever people already have cases listed on Ebay if you search BlackBerry Priv, but they're just universal pouch or flip cases, not custom.

    I prefer the leather pouch case and naked with a glass screen protector.

    Torch had hundreds of cases. I have a bunch of unopened ones. There were lots of cheap Amazon / eBay products. Two pieces. One for the body and one for the screen.

    Samsung S6 edge screen holds up pretty good against accidental fall... check out the videos in YouTube related to hammer test, drop test etc... if BlackBerry is using the same kind of display, it will hold good too...
