I found a new way to temporarily fix this issue. You don't have to slide out the screen completely and do the twist trick.

Once I find the bottom left corner becomes clicky, I just place my thumb on that corner and with a little bit force against the pkb, push the screen up a little bit (maybe 1/4 inch or so) and let go. The screen will come back on its own and the clickiness is gone.

Eventually it will come back but it's easy to make it go away, for a while.
