HIGHLY EXPERIMENTAL!!! TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK!

It was actually out for some time on Canary and Dev, but it's now available on the stable build.

Go to the address bar, type chrome://flags. Look for "Chrome Home" and enable that.

Move Chrome's address bar to bottom for better one-hand use-screenshot_20170320-082104.png

Caution though, it's still experimental. Some pages may not work properly, so far I found the Gizmodo Media sites' (e.g. Jalopnik) top menu doesn't work (rendered above top of the screen and taps on menu are offseted).

OMG! This is great. Loved having the search bar at the bottom BB10 style. Thanks OP!

Had to switch it back to normal. As mentioned by the OP some sites have trouble rendering their content with the browser search bar at the bottom.

Costco's website was one I found didn't work correctly and another site I use for brake parts wouldn't render correctly as well.

To bad because I love the URL bar at the bottom.

Yeah unfortunately it's a weird feature and doesn't work very well at all... you also lose the autocomplete function of the browser

Imagine the Hub navigation bar at the bottom! So much easier to navigate....

I don't think it would be good for the hub top bar to be at the bottom, as far as the menu to the left you can just swipe for the edge to reach it

I loved it, but had to turn it off. It didn't register touches in the right spot on some websites. ESPN was one that just drove me bonkers.

It's difficult to get that swipe right with a case but yes, you are right!

I had to turn it off as well. My phone was freezing while browsing and I think it was due to the change of browser settings.

Also may consider getting the Dev and Canary builds, which has further enhancements to the bottom omnibox:

The annoying thing about it is that the search suggestions list show up in the top, instead of above the bottom address bar. It's showing up allright in Chrome Dev, hope they update it in Chrome official app soon!

On 57 Stable it doesn't show at all.

Like I mentioned in the OP, this is highly experimental.
