It 'appears' with MM the PRIV can now shut down and hibernate the phone much better.

So I ask the question, is there still a need to use and run Greenify, ccleaner or any other similar apps which we used to run to help protect battery life?

Would like to hear from the community.

    What's the consensus?

Marshmallow's Doze is more advanced than Greenify and it's automated. Greenify is still useful as Doze doesn't do anything while your phone is in use, whereas Greenify can hibernate non-essential apps and boost battery performance. Doze and Greenify can work simultaneously but it's down to personal choice really if you think Greenify is still as useful to you.

Thanks! I've decided to keep Greenify. All-in-One seems to work nicely with the latest updates and all three seem to now keep my phone really cool!

I was using greenify for a while but stopped using it just to see if it made any difference, not really. I think unless you have a rogue app or something gets buggered up, android otherwise does a pretty good job of managing the apps and resources. From everything I heard it's even better with mm.

I tried "aggressive doze" on my MM Priv and i think greenify just made the battery last shorter.

I dont have any so called "battery/ram enhancing" apps installed. most if not all of them are more than a little B.S

You are probably right. A placebo....

I can't prove it but it seems the all in one app does something...
