I changed my Priv's password this morning. Then, I used the phone intensively for hours, so the password didn't turn on for a while. When I was prompted to put in my password, I completely forgot what it was! 10 tries later and the phone just wiped itself... It's been rebooting for a while. I'm doing a huge facepalm now because I need to do hours of setup again. How could I do this to myself?

Better to have that experience now rather than later when everything is setup and you have no backups.
I would go as far as testing the remote wiping, etc. features before you make it your daily driver.

That sucks. I feel your pain brotha. Thanks for not calling it "a major flaw in the priv"

Ouch! Hopefully it's a learning experience, if anything.

One thing that helps me but might annoy people in another way, my lock timeout is really short. I end up having to unlock it very often, even if I'm using it and just look elsewhere for a short minute or so.

Is the automatic backup/restore to Google going to help with this?

I did the same with my Z30.
If you don't mind the 'hassle' another thing you can do is go to Security and enable Power button instantly locks

The only thing that it did was re-download all of my applications. I did the device transfer from my Q10 again to get the other stuff. I still have to change my notification sounds and app screens, but it's not that bad.

I know now to always keep a password that I can remember!
