    am at settings, custom alerts, + Add rule...stuck there.

    i can't get it to do anything...anybody know what I should do next?

    I found the answer myself shortly after I posted the question.
    when I already have a message thread going, in that message to the far right of the name are the three dots, click those, then customize, then go to tones and make your choice...YAY
