You open your app drawer and then you open "calculator".

Open app drawer (circle with 6 dots in the bottom of your home screen), find calculator in there. If you want it on home screen, long press on it in the app drawer and place it wherever you want.

The built in Google calculator is a bit weak in terms of functions.

I would recommend the ASUS Calculator in the Play Store.

It actually feels more like a BB10 calculator. Has a built in converter. It also gives you the option for a pop up widget. The pop up widget opens up to a quick use calculator. Definitely handy!

I also prefer "RealCalc"; just throwing that puppy out there. Been using it for years now. Especially handy if you ever need a scientific calculator.
