I've had a nightmare with the hub and now I've noticed that there are green lines on the front facing camera. Very disappointed.

Does anyone know what this is, or should I just get it replaced?

FWIW I saw that effect in the past, when Hangouts had a bug with Windows tablets. Software could potentially cause this as well.

I have been experiencing this as well. Especially in low light. Would be nice to know if it's software related or if I should exchange for a new device soonest!

Could be software but that looks really bad, I would exchange if possible. Do all pics look like that?

So this is weird! I left my phone to charge over night. It has cooled down dramatically. After spoending all day trying to solve the problems I had with the hub, and setting up my accounts etc, the phone was very hot.

Now it's cooled down a lot, I tried the camera again. It's fine. It works absolutely great with no green. Could this perhaps be a hardware issue relating to the heat of the phone?

I'd say if in doubt, reboot? Sounds like software side if it is on and off

I'm having the same issue with the FFC. Indoors it's either super green or has somewhat of a purple flair with certain indoor lighting. Outside it seems to be OK. I tried rebooting and clearing all the apps but it still happens. Kind of concerning and based on all the comments, I'm thinking an exchange wouldn't help.

Check for an update for the camera app in the Google Play Store, search for BlackBerry Limited and if it is available, try your camera again, if it doesn't fix it a replacement is your best bet.

to me this isn't a defect, it's just a poor performance in low light. Even if you push a DSLR to super high ISO's you will start to see some purple cast, and those "lines" wich in photography is called "Banding".

There was a post from a BlackBerry developer who works on the camera, it's a bug in the camera software I am able to reproduce the same results in low light situations

I was going to exchange it but based on other people mentioning that doesn't help, I returned it and got an LG instead. The issues kept reminding me of the Passport on ATT with the flickering at the bottom and wonky GPS. Felt like a half-baked phone that I'm not waiting around for ATT to push fixes to.

So it would be software and not hardware? I can re-create easily (not as bad as others), but only when the device is hot which leads me to believe that it's hardware related and nothing to do with low lighting.

With the device on, charging, battery doctor showing 90s/100s there are green lines. Interestingly, if the slider is open then this goes away leading me to believe it's definitely the heat.

Anyone return and get a replacement due to this? If so, does the new device have this when hot?

Its a software issue and BlackBerry are investigating. Please make sure you keep your applications updated.
