Can't take one example to say you won't like Android. Theres so much alternatives and they only restricted themselves to voice search.

On another note Windows mobile will never have support from developers. You're going to be stuck with apps that is outdated a.k.a BB10 apps. Microsoft mentioned lately that they won't be bringing Android support to Windows platform anytime soon.

If that is what causes you to not want a Priv.... I think you should stick with Microsoft - no doubt. You're obviously the complaining-type.

    yeah, right.

You know, accuracy of web browsing--kinda important. But not to you, we get it. You'll take whatever results you get, and defend them to the death.

There are other items on the list--one of which is that Google Now can't understand things that Cortana can.

I have the privilege of having both Android and Windows Phone 8.1 in the house, so I can compare--I don't have to rely on web forums and imagined voodoo.

Again, why not just get the Microsoft phone and be done with everything?

Get your Windows phone - problem solved. Simple.

I thought I would respond because I sometimes feel bad how you try to instigate others...and they typically ignore you.

Do you want me to act upset at what you wrote? OK...let me try - "hey! Stop that!" How was that? Ok?

I'm trying really really really hard to understand what makes you reject the Priv after reading that article, I'm not understanding the reason. Have you ever opened a web page on IE, FF and Chrome? They all have various GUI/UI issues and in most cases what you find on one is not present on the rest. Have you ever opened a web page on a phone and got the responsive version of the web page? When you get the responsive version you have a lot of functionality trimmed down or removed as not all the content can be displayed on 5".
I own a 930 and IE is just bad, there is not other word for it, it's basically the worst browsing experience a user can have on a mobile device.

Either way if you consider rejecting the Priv because some random page wasn't displaying all info on Chrome but it was on IE from 8.1 than by all means do it, reject it

    You can do better.

But really, I'm sitting here on the outside looking in....and I really can't spot any difference between BlackBerry, Android, and iOS fans. Of course they each think they're better than the other, but the mentality of the posters is the exact same between the platforms.

My conclusion is that we should all be a little more open minded to the rest of the (tech) world.

    Not as simple as that.

Already Priv users are starting to sound like BB10 users...

Does discussion of factual items bother you? Did you already buy a Priv and now you're upset at having any perceived Android limitations being discussed in your presence?

    Iggy,

That is by far the best post of yours I have ever read here. There's nothing wrong with brand loyalty, or in this case OS loyalty as well. However many of the shots aren't even good natured, they are just petty, mean, and irrational when it comes to other OS. Heck I see the same thing on Android central and half of it is over which brand of ANDROID us better.

Huh. I just tried this on my Priv - I said "Okay, Google" and Google Now Voice Search opened. I then said "Hollywood Casino Thanksgiving Buffet" and the link to the Columbus buffet was the second link in the search results.

Now that windows mobile phones are designed using the Nokia aesthetic it may be a winner. Although they are power devices and the connectivity to windows pc, tablet and mobile device is cloud uniform. THere is a huge app gap for windows mobile devices as well. If using apps is important, Droid is better but lacks the windows syncro. There are a few android third party apps to sync outlook for example however, they are not perfect and still have issues.

You guys realize you can replace Google Now with Cortana on Android right? Or even use Hound which is arguably more powerful than either.

I was thinking of going the Windows route, but the edge browser is horrible (at least as it runs on my Lumia 920 and the latest developer release). Even worse is that many of the problems only show up after extended us - like I'm reading a lengthy Web page and it just ends mid-way through the article with a blank 1/2 page. Sometimes scrolling up/down will remind it to download more content, but other times, nothing will.
