I got one of my hardshell cases in today. It is the military green version. I ordered it from Amazon Friday.

Overall, pretty good feeling case. Front part is very flimsy. I hope it doesn't cause any issues. Back is comparable to the official Passport case.

I may end up trying the back by itself and see how it works. Anyway, here are some pictures:

I don't think that front piece is going to offer any protection. It's barely there.

The front piece on my 9800 broke all the time, ended up using tape to fix it, got tired of buying new covers just to use the front piece .

What is the front piece for? I'm familiar with the Passport hard shell cases and I've never seen that.

Also, if anyone with the flip case could check, how does it attach to the back of the Priv?

I've never liked flip cases, but thinking the Priv with just a screen protector and the flip case would be plenty protection and look nice.

Really like the options. I've always been a fan of the leather pouch from the Z10 and Z30 as well, but did enjoy the leather flex shell on the Passport.

I like the sync pod as I use my phone as my alarm clock, and it's nice to have it standing instead of laying down. It's also easier to see who's calling and leaving messages.

Hold it next to your case and pretend it'd the Priv.. That's what I'd do.

Flip Case has a plastic rim that the device "snaps" into.

Thank you! So no glue/3M tape like the Passport's. Awesome.

I'm still missing the point of the front of the hard shell. Does that snap on as well? The Passport hard shell slides in and snaps onto the back four corners.

It snaps on all around the edges like the Torch shell used to.

Don't have the device yet, but it seems to stay closed better than the Passport flip case did. Also folds around the back easier for typing. The leather feels softer and more supple.
