    As the title states. This may be one of BlackBerry most successful recent marketing plans, whether the slider is android or bb10 is irrelevant. The fact that groups of android users and media outlets and not to mention BlackBerry has been trending on twitter multiple times every month shows that people are talking about them. With that being said I'm putting my bet that the slider will be running Tizen

    Sure... their decision to not do anything (except give Evan Blass a few grainy gifs with the default MS Paint Times New Roman font) and instead divert their entire budget to the hardware/OS division in order to accelerate the Slider's development,.. is admirable.

    IMHO, the slider is getting so much attention just because it's Android. If it was just BB10 the attention would have been smaller.

    But we should also remember that the passport also got a lot of attention due to its weird shape, but still sales flopped.

    does roles royce advertise, they don't need to. same goes with BlackBerry. maybe a little marketing, but not like Samsung or apple.

    the car analogy is really bad. Rolls royce doesn't sell many cars because they are more much expensive than the competition. An iPhone 6, a samsung galaxy s6 and a BB passport (and soon to be the slider) have comparable costs, and BB just doesn't sell.

    BlackBerry's best bet on marketing is a working model in phone stores on display beside the Moto and Samsung phones with HUB/qwerty features highlighted in a big way.
