After solving my unwanted red flashing led problem (mail) I now no longer get the white led on whatsapp messages, which I'd like to get. It is enabled in whatsapp settings.
Does the global setting alarms only affect this (alarm clock symbol with slash in top bar)

Is it that the notification light is a different color or that it doesn't flash at all?

On silent, Android won't show any notifications, including lights, unless the app allows for it, like the hub does.

Not really. On Silent, all the silent notifications are shown, including notification LED and ambient display. On Do not disturb they aren't showing, since the OP says he uses Alarms only it's the DnD, and it obviously works exactly as it should.

I also got LED notification issue that no LED show up after a missed call. Is it a bug or I missed any settings. Tried to look around from App setting too still got no luck.
