You need to use a file Explorer, which does not come pre installed. I used ES file Explorer and it worked for me!

Solid Explorer File Manager then buy the 99cent OTG add on!

This is the only way that myself and others got it to work.

I was stuck and tried at least 50 apps from google play and finally this one worked..

My otg is the 64gb micro usb to usb!

Tested with USB flash drives, card readers, USB keyboard, mouse, both via USB hub, USB to serial port converter, USB wireless keyboard. I also use my PRIV to play movies to my projector via HDMI

Yes just to confirm I also used my OTG cable with flash drive and with Wired mouse and it works, it does support OTG. I have ES File Explorer installed to look at file on drives though!

I went into RadioShack to buy one and the guy had NO idea what I was talking about and he seemed very (read:nerd) knowledgeable.

    What gives?
    Where can I get one?
Which one is working best for ya'll, without necessarily buying apps?

    I'm on PassportSQW100-4/10.3.2.2876

The common free file apps have oTG capabilities... there's a stand alone OTG app in PlayStore too... I got a cheapo otG wire from Asia off eBay... all should be good

The OTG capabilities exist and in the new MM update, the attached storage device is opened by the system itself, eliminating the need of an app to do the same.

Confirming this is case for me to. My file managers don't seem to see it but OS does and can access it.

But you need a file app to browse the contents, no?

I have 3 and none seem to see it. Going to test tomorrow with differently formatted drives.

The Priv does support OTG, but it doesn't seem to "just work" like BB10's OTG support worked. I couldn't get it going for ages until I got a new Transcend OTG drive, and there was a barcode on the packaging that took me to something to download, and since then, all good.

Some Android File Managers have an OTG add-in or plug-in.

True, hope most will add OTG support eventually. 2 of 3 I was using didn't have option but other, Total Commander, does have plug in which seems to work in my preliminary testing.
