Now that BlackBerry has released their first ever Android Phone, do you think they can make their own version of a tablet? Do you think they can be innovative in this line? Thoughts?

Considering that tablet sales have leveled off, why introduce another one at all?

They can but don't really think they should unless they bring something totally unique. The tablet market is pretty dead except for the iPad.

I really hope they do. That would rock if BlackBerry got back into the tablet game. They could even make a 'BlackBerry TV' box and smart TV's or whatever.

No. Focus on building two or three perfect products (Priv, Classic, Passport). Generate cash and develop a strong ecosystem and customer base from that and then introduce tablet. Way way too soon from a business perspective. Going into new and highly competitive markets during a turn around is very dangerous

But like the rest of you, I doubt they will. If it's not an iPhad, it's not selling. Well, maybe Samsung makes money too. But with things like the Surface line available, not sure it would be that great to have an Android tablet.

I don't see why they would unless they could make something completely out of the ordinary. The tablet market is over saturated with Android devices. You can't just add a slider, hub, and call it a day (not saying that's all they did with the Priv) in this case. I'd actually prefer a BB10 tablet, now that would be something different.

I'd love to put BlackBerry apps and services on a tablet, whether made by BlackBerry or by someone else.

Not a chance. Tablet sales have dropped. It would have to be revolutionary.

They are trying to save the hardware division of blackberry, I don't think they are trying to get a tablet out just yet.

Tablets, as a whole, are beginning to stagnate. Don't see them getting back into tablets. They should have never gotten involved with them in the first place.

Of course they can, I'm using one very fine BlackBerry Playbook as my nightly (and morningly) browser, video watcher, music player, and it runs circles against a cheapo (but brand-new!) HP Windows 8.1 notebook.

I would love to see them make a new one, but with BlackBerry not android, please!
The market is not saturated with stable, mostly unhackable tablets, not that I've heard anyway . . .

Tablets are becoming a thing of the past. I think phones today are big enough and good enough to make buying a tablet redundant.
