Does anyone know if EE (UK) plan to push the MM update today? It's 00:16am Wed 3rd May here in the UK and no sign of it yet.

Nothing as yet (unlocked cfw STV100-4 on EE). I'm assuming that that it won't be today (4th May). Fingers crossed that it will be sometime soon!

Easiest and fastest way is if you have unlocked phone go and get a 99p O2 sim and put in phone , turn wifi on and with in a few mins the update will appear, down load and update turn phone off swop background sims and hay presto you will be on MM with EE , mine work superb and I running g Vodafone UK sim as didn't get update.

For 99p it's worth a shot as a lot of priv's even through a carrier are unlocked, and as your only using wifi not registering for 02 it might work , worth a go to save waiting 2 months .

My carrier in greece told me the same thing and got the update 2 days later. I guess the customer service guys don't have a clue...

I asked on the phone to the EE customer service operator if my phone was unlocked and he said no. Do I believe him or do I still try it?

I took the trouble to register cos I felt you'd been good in terms of going through with the 99p O2 sim plan, and reporting back, and saving me the trouble in the process. And I'm drunk.

If you're like me, on EE UK, got the Priv through contract upgrade and, as far as I can see, carrier-locked like me, I think I have some good news for you :-D

The Blackberry Priv Marshmallow image for EMEA ("Europe, Middle East and Africa") phones, including the STV-104, is called bbry_qc8992_autoloader_user-common-AAE570.zip and available through an official Blackberry page at .. well this is messed up. I got it from an official Blackberry page two days ago, and googling seems to show no such official page now. Russion / Asian results only.

I ran the autoloader in Windows 7, ensured up to date Blackberry drivers, plugged in, didn't change the default USB mode, it wiped the phone via a shell script and uploaded the image to the phone in a heart-stopping fifteen minute ordeal.

The resulting 6.0.1 install works totally fine with EE UK and the main feature is permissions and improved battery life. I have the files I downloaded if you want but obvs I'm just a stranger on the internet.

Just a follow up, the legit URL for the file is https://bbapps.download.blackberry.c...mon-AAE570.zip
