I would like to connect my priv to my PC to transfer files via drag and drop. when plugged in my PC will charge the Priv but does not recognise that any drive is available. Is there a way to enable file transfer like on bb10?

If you have Marshmallow installed make sure you swipe down in the notification tray and change the USB connection type to File Transfer.

If you're running Lollipop you may want to see if the device drivers are properly installed on the computer.

When I plug mine in, both on Lollipop and Marshmallow, I get a notification that I'm connected via USB and it gives me the option to enable Mass Storage. That'll make the SD show up as a drive.

I pulled this SD card right out of my Passport. I think I will buy a new one for my Priv, format it and try again.

Try downloading the drivers for it if your computer didn't do it for you already.

    Nothing to do with drivers....

    No, it doesn't.

Topic starter is talking about MASS STORAGE, not MTP, not PTP, not MIDI.
It's gone with the Marshmallow update.

The mass storage tweak was one of the things that set BlackBerry apart from any other Android device out there, which don't support mass storage since many years now.

I truly hope BlackBerry can tweak Marshmallow soon to make this option available again. If I knew the developers would be busy with it as we speak, I would certainly sleep better, but so far I haven't heard them comment on it anywhere on CrackBerry.....

Marshmallow does not show a mass storage (MSC) option like BlackBerry's tweaked version of Lollipop did. MTP/PTP is not the same.http://www.howtogeek.com/192732/andr...-mass-storage/ Without screenshots from your side, I'm struggling to believe that you see more options than the 4 options all of us are seeing.

I know it sucks but for now I'm going to resort to using my Dropbox for everything.

No clue why it doesn't work for you. I get that popup, choose file transfer, and I can see my internal and SD storage in Windows.

It is working for me without any issue. Initially, I was also getting only charging option but I was told to drag it further to get extended option. I have taken same micro SD from Z30 to Priv as it is.
