I was wondering if anyone else has tried coin 2.0 with the priv? When I put the card swiper in the headphone jack like instructed it won't read the card, on the turbo it does. Is this because the priv doesnt have the hardware or is it a security thing? When I plug it in a message for Google play music comes up in the bottom right hand corner.

When I got my Coin 2.0 I had to reboot a few time and now it works fine. It just take a few swipes to get it to read the card. One card took about a good 30 minutes of swiping before it would work.

I have the first Coin, and it works after a few swipes. The phone thinks that the reader is headphones, but that doesn't seem to matter. On a related note, I'll still waiting for them to ship me the 2.0 version. The first quarter is coming to an end.

I tried swiping multiple times with no luck. I feel like I'm doing something wrong but it's not like this thing is hard to understand ha

I have already emailed coin about it and their response was that although Priv runs Android they don't support it currently so they won't guarantee that it will work on Priv

That sucks! I was hoping that with the priv that we wouldn't have any problems with android apps but I guess, I'm wrong?

You shouldn't. Either the coin app sucks, OR, I have heard a rumour that the headphone jack on the Priv is slightly different, due to it perhaps being a security flaw. Not entirely sure.

I'm thinking it has to be something with the headphone jack but I'm not sure. I really like the aspect of coin but I guess it won't happen

Just a quick update. I emailed them again if they will support the Priv down the line since they have a device support page. Their answer was no due to not running any hardhard compatibility tests.

    There goes $50

It should work. Like I said, I got my first Coin working, and I'm assuming that they haven't released a different swiping device. It is not the easiest thing to use since it tends to spin when you swipe the card. I had success by holding it down on the edge of the table. You have to make sure that you have good contact and constant speed for the whole swipe, and just be prepared to try it a few times. Don't get too discouraged and think that the problem is with BlackBerry. My wife had similar issues with her Galaxy 3 & 7.
Also, I didn't turn off any options with Google Music, it just takes a bit of patience.

Getting a weird error when I try to sign in on the coin app. Says the Trustmanagers do not trust the certificate chain". Anyone else getting this?

I have not been getting that. If anyone has an extra square reader around the house, you should try using that to input your cards and let me know how it works.
