In my opinion, a landscape slider would suck. I would dislike having to move the phone to landscape each time I want to type something. Phones are designed to be portrait, so that's the best way a slider keyboard can be.

I prefer a portrait keyboard but that render does look sweet.

It's not for me either but I could see some use cases for it, and some over at XDA swear by that form factor.

For example that is actually more comfortable to work with if you use it like an UMPC, or if you're remoting into a desktop.

I missed that form factor. Especially the Nokia E7, the tilted screen does allow me to watch videos or just having a quick glance at the phone with a more comfortable angle

My guess is something even better is on its way. The BB PrivPort or whatever they plan to call the next BlackBerry Android in a Passport form factor.

I would pass for two reasons. One for me, Android. Two, it would be difficult to use one handed for typing when on the move. Portrait is much more convenient for "on the go".

However, each must select their best solution.

Though i do agree, i think most on the go usage of Priv is done with the vkb

Anyways landscape isn't my style, had an LG one before i made the move to Bold, but i know some people really like that style.

That's pretty sweet, I never saw that phone until now.
I was hoping someone would come out with something like that or a revamped version of the Sidekick LX.
