    Maybe someone can shed some light on this. Can a charger be damaged by bad power. I've lost 3 chargers after plugging into power outlets in airplanes. The chargers then only show that I'm charging on USB. Tried different cables on 2 and the other was PlayBook charger. Seems odd. I was wondering if they have some kind of control circuit that could be damaged.

    Hi....I am by no means an expert... but my thoughts....

    Chargers are made to work with different voltages.......so can't see that would damage them, but a huge surge would.......as in lightning.....

    That being said..... When you plug in to a computer to charge (usb) your phone will ask if you are transferring info or just charging.....

    At least my priv does......
