Not sure that I like the bulging camera on the rear.
Every "thin" phone has it today.

Holy ****e. A blackberry ad which actually shows all of the goodness of the predictive text flick word keyboard, some key features, and how do you like seeing that full real-estate of the screen in action when using the PKB? GET THIS AD ON TV. But add 7 seconds for using the camera, show the 18MP text around the sense, and then show a screen which can share the picture to Facebook and Instagram.

    Thanks.

If only I remembered to clean the lens. It really "fuzzies" the pictures when I forget to get rid of the lint!!!! Also, I'll express it in advance - I can see cases being designed to avoid that bulge completely meaning the lens will really be subject to exposure/abuse/lint/grit/scratching! At least with my current case (Gmyle) for the Z30, the lens is recessed.

Unlocked 579 GBP. I think they lost their mind.

S6 Edge is 499 GBP, LG G4 is 399 GBP. This is looking more like at least $849 CAD.

S6 edge is 529 at CPW. Priv is fifty quid more and it's got a keyboard. I don't see what the issue is. Also, the S6 Edge was more expensive at launch so the Priv price is only the launch price. For an accurate comparison, you should compare the two prices at their launch. My Passport was 529 last year and a month after launch was down to 449.

I must've somehow clicked somewhere to get that 499 GBP price. Further research the launch price of the S6 Edge is 760 GBP for the 64GB, and 849 Euros for the 32GB. They just went through a major price cut 2 months ago.

Thing is though, while Canada is still a constitutional monarchy, we don't really follow the practice of dropping prices on phones. S6 edge is still selling at the launch price in most outlets (839.99+ and 929.99+) that is unless you take a contract where you see your monthly plan jump right up.

The UK price also includes VAT at 20% so the pre tax price is about 483.33 (for the purposes of international price comparison) I really don't think this is a bad price. It's even a little cheap if you compare the cost of a Priv with a 128Gb SD card against the current cost an S6 Edge 128Gb. I think they nailed the price in th UK. Any cheaper and the public wouldn't regard it as a premium handset, irrespective of specs. (that's just the mentality of the public and the reason Apple devices from 18 months ago still command a premium price). Any more expensive and people would say 'well, for that price I could have an S6 Edge +!' it's priced to sell and sell well against the other flagships. in my opinion this phone will hold it's own.

I don't think you are too far off in your argument. The Samsung edge 6 with 32GB is 850 CAN (Telus, Canada) excl tax or about 425 GBP and I suppose that is a comparable phone in most respects. It also keeps it under 1000 CAN when taxes added.
