Does BlackBerry intend to do anything regarding the sorry state of their camera. I am unable to get an image that is not blurred because I can not get the image to stabilize.

This may be a user problem, as the camera received an extremely high score from dx0mark (82).

Use the manual mode if you want better control.

Gee, i haven't got any probs at all with the. Bb camera. Here's a pic i took this morning in Sydney. You'll note that the rainbow lorikeets aren't blurred, or fuzzy, and yet at least some of them were moving - especially the bird on the right hanging upside down.

Also, i did not do anything to capture the pic except to pinch zoom in. I have not edited the pics either.

Did you take the plastic protector off the lens? No issues here...

I have had great results with my PRIV camera. Try tapping on the screen when you go to take a photo.

I find outdoor photos to be very sharp and accurate, with rich colors.

I don't know what the issue could be.

Aren't there different camera apps in the play store? Maybe try one of those to determine if it's hardware or software related.

I haven't done many pics yet but what I have taken so far has blown me away coming from a Q10

Check to be sure, "focus before taking picture," is enabled. It will require focus to be acquired and locked in before taking the picture.

the camera is crazy slow compared to most other phones in the high end category. it takes too long to focus in dim light places.

My only issue with the camera app is after taking a picture and tapping the preview in the bottom left hand corner, to share, delete or edit, it takes forever to open the pic to slide your finger. Sometimes doesn't open at all.

Ill put it this way, I'm not getting rid of this phone until there's a better camera out there on another blackberry or another decent device, so rule out other devices lol. Here's some pics I took over the year.

Have you tried setting the device against an immobile object while snapping? Could be you aren't quite steady enough... Even with OIS.

Wow ... looks like I need to step away from the BB10 phones. I know we seem to have issues taking pictures of moving objects. Looks like there are no issues with the BlackBerry Androids. Starting to get jealous.

the only thing i don't like about the last camera update was the hdr option. i hardly use the flash to take pics so i would always select hdr, before the last update the setting would stick once i closed the app, now it goes back to the normal mode with flash just by turning the screen off. i'd like the setting back to where the camera would be on the last selected mode like it used to be.

I think the camera and its App are quite good. But there are some who disagree. I don't know if it due to user issues or the individual device has a bad camera.

Until recently, the BB employee who developed or worked on the camera app was present and answered a lot of questions and made some changes based on input here. But that person has moved to another division. Not sure if anyone is actively working on it now or if they participate or monitor the camera questions.

I have to say that I thnk I posted some really nice vacation pictures on the Priv Sticky photo thread when I was in the Azores and Madeira in Mid-june to july. But in that thread there are great examples of photos taken with the Priv by everyone.

And I wish pictures taken with hdr had "hdr" in their file name like panorama is included in those (and frankly, it is generally easier to tell a picture was a Pan than it was taken with hdr.

The camera focusing in manual mode is inaccurate. Infinite focus in automatic AF shows as 2 meters or so on the scale. Manually focusing to infinity will produce blurry images at infinity located subjects.

Other caveat is that manual settings can interfere with one another, probably buggy software. If the settings are corrupt switch to auto mode and come back to manual mode.

Finally, I wish blackberry eventually supports Raw file format, because the optics and OIS sensor are excellent.
