I have a new Priv and cross borders twice a day (Netherlands - Gemany) and every time the Priv switches to the dutch or german network it asks my to enter my sim pin code. Is this a security measure to prevent hacks like stingray opperation (connecting to a fake transmitter tower) ?

I have had this never with any other phones that I used.

Thanks for your input / answeres.

    Hello try this
    1: settings
    2: select more
    3: cellular networks
    4: data services while roaming
5: make sure you have selected ON and not PROMPT
Also confirm with your data provider roaming enabled.
    Good luck

Hi, Thanks, I checked and it is on "ON".
My provider is Truphone and this is a virtual provider with a different way of opperations than a standard provider. I have 2 telephone numbers (dutch and German) connected to my card. Perhaps that is why it acts funny. I will put in a "normal card" tomorrow and see if things change.

Hello Ok it seems with a special SIM card and dual numbers phone picks up new zone and correctly ask for a pin as it is a different number. If you use a so called regular SIM and roaming you should not have any issues requesting pin. Good luck
