BlackBerry android just gets better and better. See around the 5:20 mark.

I wonder which excuse those who say it's useless just for this reason would say now.

I've heard that there's a big PIM update coming soon, it'll probably hit before the DTEK50 ships, then.

All I need now to make it complete is for them to integrate it with the BlackBerry launcher so we can swipe right to view the Hub. Just like the Google Now launcher works (swipe right and you're in Google Now).

There are apps that allow you to do that now.
"All in one Gestures" is one I use.
Different swipe actions from different areas allow you to associate actions or apps opening. Try it out.

Yeah I've used that before but not really a fan as it can interfere with a swipe when you're in an app that has the app drawer, like the crackberry app.

For now I'm content with the swipe shortcut method.

I set the settings within it to adjust the sensitivity width, height, and location of the invisible swipe area so it is out of the way of things like that (put it high on the screen and remember to only swipe from there. Plus it won't interfere with the letters on the left side of the keyboard).
I set swiping from the right side to emulate the back button to make it a little like BB10, and placed the swipe area below the productivity Tab so they don't interfere.
