I wanted to make a thread for general discussion on all the things we love about BlackBerry that we hope to see or have confirmed on the Priv. I say on the Priv because I'm assuming that the Suite as on iOS and non BlackBerry android phones will be a bit different.

I know people would love to see gestures like peek and flow but I won't mind if these aren't included.

What I would hope to see for sure though, is reader mode on the browser and keyboard shortcuts and of course custom notifications of the LED.

We've seen a fair bit of what's been carried over. I'm looking forward to:

    Hub
    Calendar (Google Calendar is bad)
    On screen keyboard

Obviously looking forward to the form factor, pkb, notification LED.

    Curious and hopeful for:

    Decent, reliable, fast focusing camera
Decent solid one day battery life (heavy usage)
Unique AMOLED usage e.g. The battery meter

I actually just want them to release a launcher that supports peek and flow. I don't want to hold down the home screen and select the Hub bubble to get there. I want quick and efficient one-handed navigation.

Google calendar is pretty bad. I use Today Calendar which is great.

Based on what we have seen in the leaks, we can expect the BlackBerry Productivity Suite component of the BlackBerry Experience Software to be on the Priv. This includes the BlackBerry Hub, Calendar,
Contacts, Documents to Go, Keyboard Input, and Universal Search.

The Communications Suite and Security Suite are sure to be extra cost options.

So what's the latest rumor on how much it will cost and will it be a one time purchase of subscription?

Another big problem with BB is everything is so effing slow! And they wonder why their marketshare and revenue is so ppor.

I would hope the BlackBerry Productivity Suite and subscription would be included with the phone and OS. Wishful thinking?

It will be included no doubt. Subscriptions is for non-blackberry devices.

Hub, touch enabled PKB, and Universal search are enough to get me to switch!

Just noticed there is no BlackBerry browser - so no more reader mode?

I guess it make sense we'd have to use chrome...

Hoping for BlackBerry Travel, BlackBerry Express, BBM video, proper file management, HDMI out and real multitasking. The Hub is a given and if the gestures could be mimicked that would be awesome!

If they do include the File Manager app, it will not change the way files are managed on Android. Nearly every brand includes their own file manager app, however, the structure of the file system is the same on every Android phone.

Definitely would miss the reader mode. Maybe it won't be as important with a 5.4 inch screen.

There are many ways to get the swipe up on an android to me something different then Google Now. They should be able to mimick a bb10 experience. I wonder why they are not. Or perhaps it will be an option?
