it does not work, even the "Do not disturb" mode still sounds the camera is working.
All that is possible is to install another camera, for example footej

on my Priv, I opened the camera. right top corner is 3 dots, click on that. then click on settings. scroll down a bit and the toggle is there to mute sounds. if it doesn't show for you, you may have an older version of the camera app. I'd then go to the play store and look to see if you have an update. or search for BlackBerry camera and it should show up. I just muted mine and took a picture, no sound at all.

Great update, this is laughable. Couldn't they update the camera app to have better response time or help in some why with low light shots?
