I was in a Telus store and the demo model worked fine as touch screen device but the screen would go blank when lifted to revel the physical keyboard.

Is there a settings fix?

I asked a Telus rep and his reply was that the issue was with the demo program. This seemed unlikely to me since I could surf the internet using the screen input.

The staffer said there was nothing to be done because they never see a BlackBerry rep.

I asked the Telus rep how the PRIV was selling. His response was "very well for a BlackBerry". He also said that a common complaint was that the PRIV was too expensive.

Any advice? I would go back and fix the demo model.

Could it also have been an issue if it was leashed or tethered to the display shelf? Something tugging at it?

It's definitely possible that it is just a glitch in the demo program. When I played with a display model in the Verizon store, there was no such issue. And, I put that phone through its paces. Screen up, down etc...

Maybe, if you restore it on the sly, that will fix the issue?
