My BBM has accounted for 24% of my battery today. CPU total 2h 22m 8s. CPU Foreground: 1m 46s. Keep Awake 22h 19m 32s. Computed Power Use: 811 mAh.

Apps like Whatsapp don't even register a % under battery.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Didn't seem to fix anything.

Anyone else seeing this? I only have 3 contacts on BBM, so if I have to delete it, so be it. But prefer not too.

I found that to be the case. I only had one BBM'er, so ended up disabling the app.

This is a known but rare problem. BB has actually been proactivly contacting people they noticed this problem with from the Beta. One of the people I speak to in an outside group had this issue, and BB contacted them proactively. Maybe they'll contact you now.

Just checked mine out of curiosity. It is using a bit more than usual for sure. Sitting at 5% now with it been mostly idle for 8 hours, sent a few messages with it earlier today but not many

But I definitely have noticed a big issue with my BlackBerry services. I had to disable all my emails from syncing and now do manual refreshes because they were updating every minute causing huge battery and data usage... now that I'm doing manually BlackBerry services accounts for usually 1% vs close to 30% when I have emails set to push

Thanks all. I ended up just telling my last 2 BBM contacts to find me on Whatsapp, and deleted BBM.
