I was having great battery life for a while on my new priv.
Not sure what happened but now something seems like its draining the batter constantly.
I have removed all widgets. Even when I'm using my PC to charge the Priv it doesn't seem like it is charging the battery effectively.
I have uninstalled the blackberry hub and messenger app and reinstalled. still no improvement. i've shut down a couple time and restarted the device. still nothing.

How much screen time are you getting per charge?

Have you tried charging with a QualComm certified 2.0 charger?

It charges fine when I use the blackberry charger. I just feel like it takes a bit longer now to get a fully charge.
there is something that is draining the batter. In the background maybe...
For example...I was listening to sirius XM through the app. maybe total of One hour and youtube video for 30mins...those two things drained the battery to 40%...that to me doesn't sound reasonable.

I used to do that with the passport all the time and battery was not affected much..

What is your current battery percent and total screen time" - which can be found via Settings, Battery, and select Screen.

What is your total screen time? Click on screen then look for time on. It will display something like... 3hr 5m 17s.

    Wow! That doesn't seem possible.

You should get a QuickCharge 2.0 adapter. Charge the phone to 100% and reboot. Then, see how much screen time you get going from 100% to 50%. I'd really be curious.

How long have you had the phone?

    I know. Something isn't right.
Its a pre order phone. Got it from BlackBerry two weeks ago.
Do you think I should reset the phone?

This the same issue I'm having only had the phone for two days so not trying to make a big deal of it. But batter seems really bad at this point. Drains so quickly. It seems to be blackberry services.

And the phone is constantly hot.

You have an app doing that..... DTEK will help particularly if the app is hammering location (which will get charged to the system and NOT the app!); the other screens will tell you if an app is spinlocked on the CPU.

Between those two you can find it -- and when you do kill it with fire. It's not BlackBerry services.

What's do you mean by fire?
Which two apps are you talking about?
How do I use dtek to figure out which app is draining the battery?
Just got off the phone with priv teck support. They had me go and force close all running apps.

Charging with my Surface Pro 3 is sketchy, PRIV disconnects right away after plugging it in. I use the charger and have no problem.
