Since many of us will be updating soon, does anyone have any highly suggested apps to make restoring important info easy after the update process?

Not sure why you would need to restore it anyway really, the update shouldn't remove anything. That said, we all know stuff can happen. There's some suggestions here - http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...puter-1071412/

There seems to be a consensus that wiping prior to upgrading is the best way to go. Well previously on BB10 we had a simple backup solution. Now on android, there are dozens of options. Just wondering how some of the others in the community go about it. Email, calendar and contacts are important and now generally secured by the cloud in some way. SMS, tasks, notes, screen shots and other pictures, game data etc. are not secured via the cloud. Some of this info is worth holding on to for many of us.

I enabled the back up feature under settings >backup. This will address app / game backup.

If you use Google photo , settings > backup and sync this should address the screen shots . Select the appropriate backup folder.

if you use tasker, there's an option to share it somewhere vs backing up to sd. for some reason i couldn't find/restore my backup.

Nothing works well. Its all hodge-podgey. Even with backups, you still have to change all of your settings back, notifications, layouts, etc. Its such a PITA with droid. BB10 and IOS have nailed this - Android not so much.
