It was on BBM, but now the calendar. Both are the apps from BlackBerry.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

The three dots indicate pop-up widgets:

When enabled, any app with a widget will show three dots beneath it. But first you have to turn the feature on.
On the home screen, hold down your finger until you see an option for "Settings."
Tap on it. Half way down you'll see the "Popup" widgets option, make sure the toggle is set to on.

Sometimes they disappear as well but work quiet well depending on the widget design.

Some have useless widgets to be honest.

Thanks guys.. It's weird because the setting was set to turn on. Then I turned it off, and turned it on back, they are there now.
    Thanks anyway.

    Whatsapp widget is blank. Useless.

The whatsapp widget will show new unread messages only.
And for any apps where the pop up widget somehow goes missing, just remove the app icon from home screen then put it back.

This happens to me too. Most recently with Hub. I am using my phone as normal, and then sometimes an app that had pop up widget enabled no longer shows anything. After a restart, the pop up widgets come back

No need for a Restart. Just remove the app icon from home screen and put it back. That will trigger it.

If you install your apps on the sd card I'm pretty sure it won't allow you to use the pop up widget, unless this has been rectified in an update?

A while back when I put most of my apps on the sd card I noticed the population widget function was no more. I moved the apps back to phone memory and they returned.

Don't even have to do that, just move it and put it back where it was and they will reappear!
