Most ofthe PB apps are optimized for it, so, yes.
But BB10 will also run lower OS apps, so , yes to that again.

at some point... all bb qnx devices will be on bb10.
it doesn't make sense to support a pbos separately. - 11-17-2012, 08:59 AM #4
Any BB10 apps which are not specific to features that exist solely on a given device should run on any BB10 device. That means if the app makes use only of hardware which exists on your PlayBook then it should run fine. That said, it will be up to each individual developer whether to mark their app as supporting a given device. They can choose "All devices", or an arbitrary subset which could exclude the PlayBook (or include only the PlayBook, for that matter).

I see, so hopefully the playbook will have an influx of software that will run on both phones and tablets - I was wondering if an application would need separate build for each device.
Sounds promising! - 11-17-2012, 07:14 PM #6
jimmy2x2x, I'm working on 5-6 apps for launch, and another 5 or so to follow in the first few months thereafter. At the moment, I see no reason not to have each of them running on the PlayBook just as well as they will on the BB10 phones (and in fact two of them are BB10 ports of my existing PlayBook apps), and it shouldn't take me more than an hour with each to do whatever tweaking may be required for them to take full advantage of the physically larger screen.
So yes, I expect there will be a real nice "trickle-down" (or flood?) from the phones to the tablet once BB10 finally arrives on the PlayBook. :-)Battery Guru for BB10 tracks voltage, power, battery health. (Also on the PlayBook.) White Noise helps you sleep or concentrate.

The code will be the same. How the developer chooses to implement their application for a different form factor may vary.

Some apps will need as little as a change in the icon size. Others will require a little more, all in all little to no effort.

See. I like this. But I don't like how people are saying in other random areas of the forum if bbX will come to pb and the people that "don't know the war is over" come out from hiding and say it won't. Totally off topic and unrelated
What is related is I was going to say, " if a pb can run android apps bbX should integrate well :} ". Me gusta
