Ok, a little fun - lets guess the version number that's to be released. Yes there have been versions bandedd around and witnessed at events here and there, but as final fixes are added the version number changes.

So the winner is Mr.Seeed with a 'guess' of 2.0.0.7971

Congratulations - enjoy the download all.

    So - my guess - 7.0.0.8061

    BrizzadMan - 2.0.0.7629
    BB-Bmore - 2.0.0.7764
    Thunderbuck - 2.0.0.7710
    thurask - 2.0.0.7777
    Chaplain_Clancy 2.0.0.8000 (he has 800, assumed meant 8000)
    rob9804 - 2.0.1.xxxx
    Barljo - 2.0.1.0073
    illini2097 - 2.0.0.7949
    jstoltz - 2.0.0.8021
    hd56fox - 2.0.1.0016
    BaconMunch - 2.0.1.7803
    weirdg - 3.0.0.0000
    peter9477 - 2.0.0.7979 - Late chaneg from 7919
    Mr.Seeed - 2.0.0.7971 - an obvious employee :-)

I can tell you right now that the latest version on the RIM server is currently 2.0.0.7529.
Also, the latest version that is activated for retail hardware is 2.0.0.7507.

Curiously, a 1.0.9.3001 popped up recently (build number went backwards?).

The fun is knowing how many builds they are ahead of what the (publicly available) developer build is @ (7111)

That in turn means.... more bug fixes, more features, etc, etc.

I'm gonna say it will have had additional builds since DevCon, but not that many. I have a suspicion that what they took to DevCon was likely a few builds back of what was current then, with some additional validation to make sure all was good with the features they planned to demo.

    .7710 is my guess...

My guess is it'll be one more than we have now, and one less than the next one.

Thanks for that. This version isn't on their public server yet. I wonder if it could be release firmware.

I'm based in the UK, and I've never been to RIM HQ or anything, but logic would say to me that 2.0.0.x builds would be classed under either alpha or beta test builds, and the earliest 'gold' release would have a new classification, moving to 2.0.1.x builds.

That's how I learned software builds a while ago anyway!
