Updated to OS 2.0.1.358 now playbook is chunky
Has anyone else noticed that after the update the speed has actually decreased? I find websites slower, and applications in general are running slower on launch. Just wondering if anyone else is seeing this before I do a wipe and load again?

Hmmm, I've rebooted several times (3 or so) and it of course clears things up for a short time but problems come back faster then they did prior the update. I will say however that youtube once it loads no longer gives me the (!) so far and always plays the vid.
I'll reboot now and see how the rest of the day goes.BlackBerry Z10

Nah, my PlayBook didn't slow down at all, it's noticeably faster and stable in all aspects. I suggest doing what's already been suggested and do a HARD RESET. I'm actually impressed with the speed of the bridge browser as well

I notice no difference with speed.

My browser is significantly faster, html5 apps like News360 are working way better and Adobe Air apps like WebReader are way smoother. I'm happy with the upgrade.

My browser hasn't crashed a single time since I've gotten the update. I'm annoyed that the predictive text keyboard no longer works in bridged applications, but I'm sure it will be be back in another really update. Other than that, I find my PlayBook to be a lot better in terms of speed within the browser and general stability.

I agree with the OP. At best mine is the same as before, checkerboarding and all. Sometimes the blue progress line at the top stalls at about the halfway point.
FWIW, I never had any browser crashes before, maybe 1 or 2 in the month I had my playbook. Numerous hard resets have been done with no improvement. Not that I'm complaining as its not any worse than before. I'm sure that it has fixed the crashing issue for those that used to get that often but I wonder if the increased speed that some claim is just a perception. - 04-20-2012, 09:00 AM #13
I've had all sorts of issues since 2.0.1 upgrade : contacts disappearing in bridge, icons disappearing in bridge, docs to go not opening xsl files etc. This morning my bridge connection asked for password but no keyboard appear and no focus to password field.
Unrelated to bridge, my browser refused to work properly with PC Financial Online banking (with the message to enable cookies and Javascript ). Everything was fine after a reboot but I had to reboot my PlayBook 3 times in 2 days which is way too often.
How do I roll back the update?

If you have wifi problems, then turn all your devices off --- your router, your DSL/cable modem, your computer, your laptop, your playbook and then turn them back on.
If you have browser problems, clear Playbook's browser cache. Much like Microsoft IE's corrupt IE cache, clearing the cache can solve many browser problems. - 04-21-2012, 06:39 AM #17
Also for wifi problems, I noticed some interference with BlueTooth. So, I deleted both BT and wifi stored connections, turned BT off, re-created wifi connexion, turned BT on, bridged again (do not pair BT before bridging) and ... back in business in 10 minutes.
To OP : mine is working faster and is more reliable/stable than ever. Oh, may I say I have no sideloaded apps ?"I speak English like a Spanish Cow"

This update is a hit for some and a miss for others. I personally will wait at least 2 weeks before I update again

Maybe the apps are crashing, not the player itself (that's my experience). But if we're honest: the player doesn't work the way it should. Only runs one app at a time and breaks the UI with its window... Wonder if it was a good idea to release it like that...

Try to do a security wipe and see if it works better.
